About Everyday Calculators
Everyday Calculators is built and maintained by the FastTools4U team, a small independent group that builds free, no-nonsense browser tools. We are not a large company — just a handful of people who got tired of "free" calculators that hide the actual answer behind an email form, or bury one input field under six screens of advertising.
The site is a collection of five calculators people genuinely reach for: a percentage calculator with three modes, a BMI calculator in metric and imperial units, a fixed-rate loan and mortgage payment calculator, an age calculator that works to the day, and a tip calculator that splits the bill. Every one of them computes entirely in your browser.
Our Philosophy
Financial and health numbers are personal. A loan balance says something about your circumstances; a weight and height say something about your body. We designed this site so that none of that information has anywhere to go: there is no backend, no database, and no account system. The formulas are plain JavaScript running in the page you are looking at, and when you close the tab the numbers are gone. Privacy here is not a policy promise we ask you to trust — it is a consequence of how the site is built.
Showing the Working
Most calculators give you a number and nothing else. Ours show the expression that produced it — the amortization formula for a loan, the weight-over-height-squared formula for BMI, the exact calendar arithmetic behind an age in years, months, and days. That serves two purposes. It lets you sanity-check the result against a lender's statement or a textbook, and it means students and anyone learning the method can see how the answer was reached rather than memorising a button press.
What These Tools Are Not
We are deliberately clear about the edges. The loan calculator models a standard fixed-rate amortizing loan and does not know about origination fees, property taxes, insurance, or early-repayment penalties, so a real quote will differ. BMI is a population-level screening measure that was never designed to assess an individual athlete, child, or pregnant person. These tools are excellent for orientation and comparison; they are not a substitute for a lender, an accountant, or a clinician.
Why It's Free
Everyday Calculators is part of the FastTools4U network of independent tool sites, hosted on static infrastructure that costs very little to run. The site is supported by display advertising, which lets us keep every calculator free with no usage limits and no premium tier. We have no plans to change that.
